Live Music Gospel Concert

What’s Happening?

Jacksonville University, in partnership with the Cathedral Arts Project, is pleased to welcome cultural educator and international concert artist Gwen Moten to campus for a two-day festival celebrating the power of singing to transform communities through positive change. Former Supervisor of Cultural Services for the City of Newark and Director of the Newark Boys Chorus, Ms. Moten has led performances throughout the United States (including two invitations from President and Mrs. George H.W. Bush to perform at the White House) and abroad to New Zealand, Japan, Australia, and Czechoslovakia. Jeanette McCune, Director of School of Community Programs at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. will moderate a panel discussion of community arts leaders and partners. The festival culminates in a choral concert featuring singers from Edward Waters College, Jacksonville University, and Paxon School for Advanced Studies.
